in the interest of time, i'm compiling a list of random things that I saw, heard, or otherwise experienced in the last 8 days:
1. thomas jefferson's monticello. very cool.
2. colonial williamsburg.
3. non-colonial williamsburg has a veritable plethora of pancake houses. my personal favorite: mama steve's.
4. uncle bill doesn't think he has seen me in many, many years. i think he's never seen me. but he's old.
5. "Here's to Cheshire, here's to cheese. Here's to the pears and the apple trees. And here's to the lovely strawberries"
6. new town methodist church has absurdly friendly members, and their pastor's august 3, 2008 sermon was pretty good. i'd recommend a visit if you're ever in williamsburg, va.
7. this park with huge presidents heads is somewhat disturbing.
8. arriving home at the end of a long trip is a great feeling.
9. making up work you missed after a long trip is stressful.
10. old friends are priceless.
11. reuniting with old friends is fun.
12. Jesus loves me.
13. hallelujah Jesus loves me!
14. thank God for Jesus
15. i feel bad for John Edwards' family today. and perhaps for John Edwards, too. we should pray for our country's leaders.
16. august is no t.v. month. so far i've messed up once with 10 minutes of the today show this morning.
17. i am leaving now to go to a steelers game.
